Improving diagnosis of dementia in primary care

ABM ULHB together with its partners in industry, Cambridge Cognition,  are currently evaluating how an electronic App  known as the CANTAB Mobile, which uses touchscreen technology on an i-Pad, can be used to help ‘triage’ memory problems and ensure signposting to the appropriate service.   The use of  a mobile app will help to identify appropriate patients and effectively ‘screen in’ those patients with a clinically significant memory who require an in-depth memory assessment and ‘screen out’ those patients who aren’t in need of a memory assessment but in need of signposting to other services instead.
