The response to Covid-19 has unleashed an great opportunity for transformational change across the NHS in Wales. Out of a crisis we have seen some amazing ideas and solutions to many of the challenges we face together in Wales. We must take full advantage of this and sustain and embed these transformational changes for the future.

As organisations you will be looking to hold on to the gains you have made and also to learn from other to continue to develop and re shape your services – changes that seemed impossible just five months ago have been made.

Over the past few years the Bevan Commission has not only set out its new thinking and challenge to the system, but has used its expertise to help real transformational change happen in practice.

We have acted as a ‘critical friend’ to many, providing tailor made consultancy services to organisations including Abertawe Bro Morgannwg University Health Board (now Swansea Bay University Health Board), Hywel Dda University Health Board, Gwent Regional Partnership Board, Velindre University NHS Trust and the NHS Wales Health Collaborative and others.

Our experience, our expertise, and our credibility and authority on transformational change is extensive. For further details, please email Bevan-Commission@swansea.ac.uk to learn more about how we can offer consultation and support for your organisation at this time.

Working with the Bevan Commission has enabled us to benefit from their expertise for a particular piece of work, but also supported us in taking a step backwards and reflecting on our whole approach to engagement and transformation. They have acted as a critical friend and we will be a better organisation for their support and advice.
