About the Event

At the fifth and final session in the Bevan Commission’s Doing Things Differently discussion series, we will share perspectives from across the world on the impact of the coronavirus pandemic and how countries are recovering and re-setting.

What can Wales learn from others, what are the challenges and solutions moving forwards and what should be prioritised to ensure health and care systems deliver a sustainable service?

We will consider the following key questions:

  • How do we continue to respond to the ongoing impact of the pandemic alongside restoring health and care services for those who are waiting as well as new patients?
  • What are the major challenges for effective recovery for health and care and what are the solutions?
  • Confidence and trust in healthcare system remains high overall, how can we build on that and have an honest conversation with patients and the public about the tough choices and their personal responsibilities?
  • What will we need to do differently? What will the future look like?
